Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Privacy Statement

Personal data collected by the journal INSTAL are processed solely to the extent necessary for carrying out the publishing process and for operating the journal’s electronic publishing platform. The Data Controller makes every effort to ensure the security, confidentiality, and compliance of the data with applicable legal regulations.


Data Controller

The Data Controller of personal data is Częstochowa University of Technology,
Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment,
J.H. Dąbrowskiego 69, 42-201 Częstochowa, Poland.


Scope and Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data of Authors, Reviewers, Editors, and Readers are processed for the purpose of:

  • handling the submission, peer review, and publication of scholarly articles,

  • conducting correspondence related to editorial activities,

  • fulfilling archiving and reporting obligations,

  • ensuring the proper functioning of the OJS publishing platform.

The scope of processed data includes in particular: name and surname, e-mail address, affiliation, scientific identifiers (e.g. ORCID), as well as other data necessary for the publication process.


Legal Basis for Data Processing

Personal data are processed in accordance with:

  • Article 6(1)(b) and (c) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR),

  • applicable national laws,

  • internal regulations of Częstochowa University of Technology.


Data Sharing

Personal data are not disclosed to third parties, except where such disclosure is necessary for the publishing process, results from applicable legal provisions, or concerns systems used for indexing and archiving scholarly publications.


Rights of Data Subjects

Individuals whose personal data are processed have the right to:

  • access their personal data,

  • rectify or complete their data,

  • restrict the processing of their data,

  • object to the processing of their data,

  • request the erasure of data in cases provided for by applicable law.


Data Retention Period

Personal data are retained for the period necessary to achieve publishing and archiving purposes, in accordance with applicable legal provisions and the internal regulations of Częstochowa University of Technology.


Data Security

The Data Controller applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or destruction.


Final Provisions

Personal data are not used for marketing purposes and are not transferred to third parties for purposes unrelated to the publishing activities of the journal INSTAL.


Definitions

GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
