The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the UV/H2O2 process in removing 17α-estradiol from distilled water and model wastewater using the QuEChERS–LC–MS/MS method. UV photolysis alone provided moderate reduction (approx. 75% after 45 min), whereas the addition of H2O2 markedly increased the rate and final effect, leading to near-complete removal (approx. 97% after 45 min). In the control test with H2O2 only, no loss was observed, confirming the necessity of photochemical activation. The results indicate that UV/H2O2 can be an effective and rapid solution for reducing estrogens in wastewater.
