The paper presents exemplary results of completed industrial research and development work related to the realization of a research project aimed at determining the technological system for optimal cooperation of a CHP plant with a high-efficiency heat accumulation system. After the phase of determining the static and dynamic properties of the relevant elements of the technological system of the thermal power plant, concepts for the integration of the thermal power plant with the heat accumulation system were proposed. The article presents several solutions for the integration of heat accumulators operating at different levels of accumulated heat allowing to improve the economic efficiency of the power company so as to maximize the production of electricity during the hours with the highest selling price.
