The article presents the results of research on the heat supply systems for multi-family buildings at the end of the heating season. The measurements were carried out in 2019 for the atypical heating season, extended until the end of May. Based on the measurements carried out, the energy efficiency of the heat distribution system was calculated. Heat losses in the central heating installation were estimated at 27-60%, depending on the measurements period. It was also shown that only part of the apartments participated in the heat using. 10-30% of flats accounted for over 70% of heat consumption for heating. Attention was drawn to the need to turn off the heating system for the summer, as well as the accuracy of the decision to end the heating season and switching the heat source to work for summer conditions.
