General principles of the use of electricity in surface heating are presented, placing particular emphasis on underfloor heating – both as basic and supportive. The values of the emitted heat fluxes depending on the heating system are given. Attention was paid to the safety of using electricity in space heating affecting human health. Electric heaters were divided according to their applications, as well as due to their construction.
