Abstract

This article discusses the use of artificial intelligence in IT project management. The aim of the study is to identify and analyze the main areas of AI application in IT project management processes based on a review of the scientific literature. The paper adopted a literature review approach, which included searching, selecting, and analyzing publications on artificial intelligence, project management, and IT projects. The results of the analysis indicate that AI is primarily used in project planning, risk management, quality management, project communication and documentation, as well as monitoring and reporting. It was concluded that the use of artificial intelligence can increase the efficiency of project activities, improve decision-making quality, and support the automation of selected management processes. At the same time, the literature highlights significant challenges in AI implementation, including reliance on data quality, limited understanding of organizational context, and the need to develop digital competencies within project teams. The results confirm that artificial intelligence is an important tool for IT project management, but its effective use requires a combination of technological capabilities and project managers' knowledge and experience.
